Northern Pack Camp Empty Re: Northern Pack Camp

Post by Silentshadow Wed May 02, 2012 5:07 am

Silentshadow lay on the snow bank, her head resting on her paws, slightly cocked to one side. She glanced at the Alpha, and blinked slowly, the thick fur on her shoulders twitching in the gentle, but chilly wind.

How do you make that gray colour box appear with your text? confused

"Hello Silentshadow!" Bluefyre said, padding out of her den with soft pawsteps. She looked into the sky and was pleased that it was a clear day.

To Bluefyre - You write "[" then "quote" then "]" and then you write your text and then add "[", "/", "quote" and finally "]"

If I do become a scout:

Sunny Snow stepped out of the shadows into the light, where both Alpha, Beta and a fellow scout was. Casting her eyes down, she murmured, "I have nothing to report off." She prayed feverishly that they would not notice her lie. They would know she had a pet of she mentioned the Southern Pack were about two days away, talking about how to destroy them. Perhaps tomorrow she could tell them because they would be in sight. An uneasy feeling spread across her as she thought about it. What if they had a short-cut? Or that Northern pack wasn't ready to prepared for a fight? The poor little robin was going to be flying again soon.

Ice eyed Sunny Snow with great interest. From the nervous look on the scout's face, her instincts told her that something was not right. But she resisted the urge to ask and nodded. "Very well."

I'm a Beta now and Silentshadow is the Alpha!

Northern Pack Camp Empty Re: Northern Pack Camp

Post by Sunny Snow Fri May 04, 2012 2:59 pm

Sunny Snow gave her Beta a polite nod and walked off, towards the forest. When she believed she was well-hidden, she gave a soft whistle, an unusual sound for a wolf but it came with practice. Slowly, one by one, a few birds who were around the area popped out of their hiding.

She smiled, feeling home again as she laid back onto the snow. She frowned again, suddenly thinking about the Southern Pack. She looked at the birds, "Where are they? Any surprise or shortcut?"

The birds nodded slightly. "You should tell them," young Egan told her. Sunny Snow nodded, like she knew but as she have told them a million times, she had no prove.

"Me, I'll go," Andrea said after a pause. Sunny Snow looked at Andrea with a grateful smile. She really wanted to help her pack and did what her parents told her too. She would show them she might be little, but she's just as useful.

Bluefyre watched Sunny Snow disappear into the woods. "Do you want to patrol with me around our territory?" she asked Ice, her eyes pleading.

"Go with her," Silentshadow advised Ice. "Make a curcuit of the territory and howl if you find anyone or anything out of place. I'll come and help you. Do patrollng today and tomorrow, we'll go hunting caribou." She nodded kindly at Bluefyre and sat down at the base of a ice-encased boulder.

Ice nodded curtly at Silentshadow. Her response was short. "Alright."
Turning to Bluefyre, she said," Let's go Fyre." Without waiting for a response, she bounded out of the camp.

Northern Pack Camp Empty Re: Northern Pack Camp

Post by Bluefyre Mon May 07, 2012 6:51 am

Bluefyre dashed after Ice, as fast as her little legs could carry her. She panted wildly when she reached the beta. "So what are we -" she never got to finish her sentence when something heavy landed on her shoulders from behind. She could hear different animal sounds and feel sharp teeth against her fur. She struggled relentlessly, writhing on the ground.

"Ice.." blood bubbled from her lips as she strained to speak.

Sunny Snow returns to where she had just met her leaders. She noted that their Beta and Fyre had left already. She turned to Silentshadow and dipped her head slightly.

"I believe the Southern Pack would be about half a day's trot away from us now," she informed and proceeded to explain about her informants (the birds) with the help of Andrea.

Northern Pack Camp Empty Re: Northern Pack Camp

Post by Ice Mon May 07, 2012 1:12 pm

Ice yelped when she felt something bite her tail. She lashed her tail away angrily and lashed out wit her forepaws at her attacker. There was a look of terror in her eyes when she saw that it wasn't a wolf but a cougar. She glanced about quickly, realizing that she and Bluefyre were already surrounded by cougars.

Spotting Bluefyre struggling beneath a cougar, she dashed straight for it and slammed against the wild cat before hissing in Bluefyre's ear," Hurry and get help!"

Bluefyre didn't need to ask twice. She knew what to do. She scampered off, back to the Northern Pack camp and yowled," Help! There are cougars in our territory, attacking Ice! She's alone!"

Sunny Snow had just finished explaining when she heard Fyre's call for help. She paled considerably, wondering what it was and ran after Fyre, together with the rest of the pack.

Ice snarled at the cougars, attacking them courageously. Her pelt was stained with blood, both hers and the cougars'. Her cut was stinging as she lunged at them. I have to keep them out.. For the sake of my pack. If it reaches the camp.... Wild thoughts raced through her mind.

Northern Pack Camp Empty Re: Northern Pack Camp

Post by Mooncry Tue May 08, 2012 10:55 pm

Mooncry dashed out of the nursery (do wolves have a nursery like they do in warriors?) and she raced to where the cougars were. She growled at them and she lunged at one. She bit down hard on its side by another one knocked her off with a swipe of its paw. She hit the ground hard it knocked the breath out of her. She struggled to her paws, but one of the cougars pinned her by her tail and she was unable to claw at it. It slashed at her leaving deep claw marks on her pelt. The same one picked her up in it's mouth and threw her against a rock, and cornered her there.

Silentshadow snarled in anger and streaked out of camp, eyes red with rage. She flew at the creature who kept Mooncry cornered against a rock and snapped at it savagely. Silentshadow tore its shoulder open to the bone with a single furious slash, and the cougar back away, yelping. Whirling around, snarling, she fell in side by side with Ice.

Sunny Snow joined in and being quick and agile, she dashed from one to another, not killing but giving them wounds, some fatal.

Northern Pack Camp Empty Re: Northern Pack Camp

Post by Ice Wed May 09, 2012 9:23 am

Ice barely glanced up when her packmates joined the fight. She saw a flash of the alpha's fur and she felt relieved. The cougars saw increasing number of wolves and fled.

She let out a satisfying growl at the retreating figures. "Cowards," she muttered under her breath, lashing her tail in distaste. "Thanks for coming," she told the rest of her pack.

Silentshadow was in a wrath. "Where did the cougars come from? The tundra is usually too cold for them," she growled, surveying the rest of the pack with narrowed eyes.

"Cougars," Silentshadow snapped shortly. "Keep silent," she growled at Silverstorm, temper running short. "We'll have to make sure they're still not in the territory. But no one has answered my question yet."

Silverstorm narrowed her eyes, fur bristling, as she sniffed the cold, crisp air. The stench of cougar was suspiciously close, and she caught the faint silver outline of a giant pawprint in the soft snow.

Silverstorm checked for more signs of the cougars, but didn't speak out again. Suddernly she sighted a smooth dark pelt flashing by between the trees. She widened her eyes in alarm.
